Race for Reading

Race for Reading

Did you know… 1 in 4 children leave primary school unable to read well?
These children are disadvantaged for life because they are unable to access their secondary education fully. Reading is the gateway to learning.

For ten years, Schoolreaders has placed volunteers in local primary schools providing one-to-one weekly reading support to disadvantaged children. In those ten years we have provided over 2 million one-to-one reading support sessions - changing children's life stories.

Would you like to make a difference? Join in our Race for Reading, by running, cycling, swimming, or even walking your dog to help us make it around the world in 80 days, and raise some funds to get more children reading. Every little bit will help to give children brighter futures! All our miles are combined and together we will journey around the globe in 80 days and make a world of difference to children’s literacy and life chances. Join us by signing up here schoolreaders.enthuse.com/cf/race-for-reading-2024
The virtual event takes place between 5th April and 24th June 2024. It's free to join in. Get fundraising and we'll send you a fundraising pack to help you on your way! schoolreaders.enthuse.com/cf/race-for-reading-2024
