Suffolk-based Tope and Leke Laguda, former residents of Hackney, London have given a new meaning to working together as a family and have worked hard to produce their first feature film, WHAT NO ONE KNOWS, which also features both their children, Layo and Lade. The film held its successful UK Premiere in Ipswich on 25th April, 2024, with the Deputy Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Elango Elavalakan in attendance, and is about to hit London on 5th May with a Special Screening at Curzon Soho.
I Have An Idea Entertainment presents WHAT NO ONE KNOWS, directed by Adeoluwa Owu. This impactful drama tells the story of two women, Oriyomi (TOPE LAGUDA) and Ifelolu (ADUNNI ADE), inseparable childhood friends, who set up together in business. They come to share a devastating secret which they believe will bind them even more strongly together, but which ultimately tears them apart.
Set in and around Lagos, the film offers a unique insight on Nigerian family life and relationships, and explores themes around cultural pressures, friendship, love and betrayal.
Tope Laguda is the screenwriter, producer, lead actor and casting director. No stranger to the entertainment industry, from her early days as a child star in 80's TV commercials, to being one of the original cast members of My Flatmates, to her current position as a Co-Director of the production company I HAVE AN IDEA ENTERTAINMENT LTD, Tope’s career is a testament to her unwavering passion for the arts.
