Haydn: The Creation

IN THE BEAUTIFUL SETTING OF YORK MINSTER
Come and hear York Musical Society perform Haydn’s The Creation – one of the most joyful and life-affirming choral works ever written. The choir will be joined by York Musical Society Orchestra and soloists Alexandra Kidgell, Nathan Vale and Thomas Humphreys.
Enjoy the musical drama of moments such as “Let there be light!”, “God created great whales” and “The heavens are telling the glory of God”, among many others.
There is also an opportunity to hear YMS rehearse in preparation for the concert, as part of the York Festival of Ideas, on Monday 3rd June – see yorkfestivalofideas.com for details.

The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12-25 for adults, £6 for students and young people 13-18. Children under 13 with a paying adult are free. Tickets are available on the door on the night or in advance from York Theatre Royal box office.
