Celebrating the diverse ways artists engage with both natural and man-made surroundings, Amongst the Trees is the new exhibition presented by The Scottish Gallery this summer. Amid sculptures by Scottish artist Andrea Geile, The Gallery has curated contemporary and modern paintings and objects from both established artists and new talents.
Amongst the Trees beckons the viewer into unexplored realms, prompting contemplation on the interconnectedness of all living things. The works will be on display both inside and outside the gallery in their gardens, further playing with the interconnection between the natural and man-made. The enduring presence of trees throughout the history and culture of art is represented, having served as symbols, subjects and vehicles for reflection on humanity and our environment.
