Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson bring a huge amount of joy to the heart warming true story of Bernard Jordan, the 89-year-old veteran who snuck off to attend the 70th anniversary of D-day. A moving and surprisingly nuanced drama offering far more than flag-waving nostalgia. This was Glenda Jackson’s last film (she died in June 2023) and Sir Michael Caine says he’s retired… but he’s said that before! (UK 2023)
