Rediscover St Mary’s – Past, Present and Future
Heritage Open Day: Come along to St Mary’s in Widnes for an opportunity to explore the past, present and future of this historic Grade II* listed church and the heritage of its local community. St Mary’s will be open for visitors to explore throughout the day, with a self-guided trail for all ages highlighting the church’s historic features and links with the heritage of the local area.
Artists from Hazlehurst Studios in Runcorn will be running special HOD-inspired ‘Snap and Social’ sessions, encouraging visitors to explore the church and the natural environment alongside the Mersey through photography. No experience or fancy cameras required!
A mini exhibition will help visitors find out more about the history of the church and share their thoughts about its future.
Refreshments will also be available.
