No admission charge for this tour, normal charges apply for Inner ward of the Castle and Cumbria's Museum of Military Life. Explore the Outer Ward of Carlisle Castle on free guided tours. This area is normally only open to ticket holders, but for Heritage Open Days on 14th of September 2024, join our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers to learn about the 19th and 20th Century military use of Carlisle's mighty fortress.
