Scarisbrick Mausoleum

Heritage Open Day: We will be opening the doors of this beautiful Grade II listed building to the public on Saturday 7th September 2024, one of the hidden gems of North Meols cared for by NW Heritage CIC & Friends of Scarisbrick Mausoleum. The Scarisbrick Mausoleum is probably the finest example of Neo Romanesque architecture in the north of England. It is the result of a combination of skilful design by Southport architect E.W. Johnson and exquisite stonework by the Tasker brothers of Burscough. Following years of neglect, the mausoleum became severely dilapidated with sections of the roof missing and the fabric of the building suffering as a consequence.
