A Very Special Visitor: Mary Anning Visits the Booth Museum

Heritage Open Day: Come along and meet famous fossil hunter Mary Anning at the Booth Museum of Natural History. Learn about her life and how life was different for women scientists in the 1800's. Find out about why Mary Anning was so important and how her discoveries changed the way we think about the history of the Earth.

With an amazing collection of birds, skeletons and natural specimens; the Booth Museum is the perfect location for a visit from Mary. She makes the perfect host to show you around and talk about some of the unusual creatures from the museum collections.
