Heritage Open Day: Imposing late Victorian family home built in 1878 with many of its existing architectural and design features. Now used as a meeting place for Coventry's Freemasons, guilds and other charities. The whole building will be open, including the lodge. Originally built in 1878 as a private residence for the Twist family (multi-generation solicitors of Coventry), Dalecote House is an imposing Victorian property located in the heart of Coventry, and still retains many of the original features. Since 1975, the building has been the home for over 10 freemasons lodges (for men and women), which meet in Coventry. The oldest lodge has met continuously since 1755, the newest since 2018.
