St John the Baptist, Cayton

Heritage Open Day: Visitors can access all areas of the church except the tower with or without a guide. The churchyard can be accessed with monumental inscription information available. Visit 12th century village church. Three bells in the tower installed in 1897 inscribed jubilee year 1897, recently serviced, early 19th century Georgian house organ presumed to have come from Killerby Hall. The pendulum clock was installed in 1947 from a public subscription as a thank you that no one was killed as a result of enemy action in either of the world wars though many locals served in the armed forces.
