Burngreave Chapel and Cemetery Exhibition

Heritage Open Day: Friends of Burngreave Cemetery & Chapels invite you to enjoy our exhibitions, leaflets and cemetery grounds. See how Pitsmoor and Burngreave developed from 500 BC into a welcoming home to people of many cultures. Learn of famous footballers, artists, musicians, pugilists, cricketers, suffragette, buffers, steel forgers. firemen, Lascar labourers and industrialists buried in our cemetery. Find the graves of your family and friends with our expert researchers. Talk to our artist in residence about our recent World Burial Practices exhibition. Be amazed by our willow and tissue paper frog created for the Parkwood Springs lantern procession. Meet our beekeeper Jeremy and see his work with the hives.
