Gillian Bolt talks on the ‘ Green and the Silver’
In 1946 Tom and Angela Rolt set off with a plan to cruise the Irish waterways. Following their return he wrote a book about their adventures, called “Green & Silver” which gave Gillian and Peter Bolt an idea! They then undertook two waterways holidays in Ireland, following the Rolt’s route where possible and enjoying the beauty and drama of the rivers and lochs they found there. They also had some interesting adventures, like Tom and Angela, which they are happy to share with you.
