Kintsugi for Beginners workshop at The Art Studio Newcastle-under-Lyme
The Art Studio offers you a chance to learn the ancient Japanese technique of Kintsugi in our relaxed and informal creative crafting studio.
Amelia will guide you through all the steps to gain the skills with which to repair your own broken treasured pieces of pottery.
This two and a half hour workshop is for beginners and focuses on fun and creativity, but at the same time will start you on your Kintsugi Journey.
In this workshop you will:
- discover the ancient art of Kintsugi in a fun and creative way
- create beautiful ceramic pieces to take home
- learn how to repair broken pottery with gold, thereby embracing the cracks to make unique
pieces of art
- be given your own toolbox which will contain all the items you need for this workshop
The class will start at 7pm and all materials are provided. Refreshments, including a glass of fizz, will be provided.
