Newbury Chamber Choir: John Rutter's The Sprig of Thyme

For their summer concert Newbury Chamber Choir will be performing a selection of traditional folk songs of the British Isles.

The centrepiece will be John Rutter’s The Sprig of Thyme, a cycle of folk-song settings that draws together long-standing favourites such as The bold grenadier, Willow Song, The miller of Dee, and also includes the beautiful Scottish folk song Afton Water.
