Ever wondered if there is a 'local ladies choir near me or nearby'
The Worksop Rock Choir is led by Nottinghamshire based musician and teacher Rachel Modest. We support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around Nottinghamshire and as a choir we also sing together with other Rock Choir singers in the nearby choirs to support national charities such as Missing People and both Comic and Sport Relief with flash mobs, fundraising events and gigs.
We sing in Worksop every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not find out where you can see the choir performing next by visiting our choir gigs page at rockchoir.com. There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Worksop community together through something as simple as joining a choir.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I wanted to see if I could sing in a choir after being inspired by the 'Choir that Rocks' TV programmes in the Summer of 2011 and joined the new Bedford RC after a taster session. I am very proud of the choir and I find rehearsals inspiring as people are so friendly and the singing so uplifting.' - Jim (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
