Look Away or Close Your Eyes: NTU BA Photography Exhibition
Surface is delighted to present Look Away or Close Your Eyes, the culmination of work from the 2025 graduating BA Photography degree students at Nottingham Trent University.
Look Away or Close Your Eyes presents a visual narrative exploring emotional psychology through photographic documentation. This work navigates multiple styles such as artifact, archival record, fashion stories, exploration of liminal spaces, portrait studies, and identity. Its narrative frameworks examine popular culture and contemporary artistic discourse, creating tension between established photographic traditions and emerging expressive technologies.
Look Away or Close Your Eyes will open in both the Main Gallery and Project Space. Opening night will take place on Friday 16th May, 18:00 – 20:00. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Pheasantry. Free, open to all!
