Evening talk organised by the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology (SLHA) and presented by Dr Peter Chowne, MBA FSA MICfA. Lincolnshire barely features in accounts of the prehistory of the British Isles or, if it does, only well-known sites excavated and published many years ago are mentioned. The speaker will discuss the most significant developments in our understanding of Lincolnshire prehistory which demonstrate that the landscape between the Humber and the Welland was not a cultural backwater and is full of research opportunities for future generations of archaeologists.
