Il Barbiere de Seviligia - The Barber of Seville, broadcast screening

Be transported to the sun-drenched streets of 18th century Seville as Bartlett Sher’s witty production of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia – The Barber of Seville - comes to the big screen.
This is the first time that the two leading opera companies in the world, The Royal Ballet & Opera and The Metropolitan Opera are partnering on their cinema screenings and joining forces to bring this final opera of The Met's season the world-class, critically acclaimed production of Il Barbiere di Siviglia, into the Royal Ballet & Opera's programme for a splendid finale to their season.
Rossini’s effervescent comedy, a fan-favourite opera, The Barber of Seville is also ideal for new audiences. The Met's production features highly theatrical staging under the direction of renowned theatre and opera director, Olivier Award nominee and Tony Award-winner, Bartlett Sher.
