East Beds Chamber Choir Summer Concert: Thank You for the Music
We like variety in our singing, so there should be something for everyone in our programme! From:
- a selection of Bruckner's unaccompanied Motets to Finzi's festival anthem Lo, the full, final sacrifice accompanied by the mighty organ at St Andrew's
- Gjeilo's chant-like Ubi Caritas to Whitacre's calming Seal Lullaby with beautiful piano accompaniments
- clever arrangements of ABBA's Thank you for the Music & Take That's Shine
And more which will be revealed on the night.
Conducted by Bene't Coldstream, accompanied by David Della Valle (keyboard) and Pete Eaglesfield (organ).
East Bedfordshire Chamber Choir was formed in September 2013, providing a progression for graduates of East Beds Youth Choir to join a group of experienced singers & find their wings in a SATB choir. Now conducted by Bene't Coldstream, the choir performs a variety of pieces and styles to suit the range and experience of its members. Our concerts have seen us perform anything from Medieval Madrigals & sacred and secular classical pieces to Gospel music and Beatles covers. We enjoy working with other musicians and have performed in collaboration with Bedford Sinfonia, Buccinate Brass Ensemble, local Youth choirs, Cantamus & Locrian Chamber choirs amongst others.

Starts at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm). Tickets £12 on the door cash/card. Under 18s free with an accompanying adult. Cash preferred for refreshment donations & raffle. Thank you.Approx 10mins walk from train station.
Parking: Limited parking at the church (includes disabled spaces). Several Biggleswade Town Council car parks are within 5 minutes walk & are free at weekends (Mill Lane, St Andrew's Street, The White Hart, Rose Lane).
Note: The supermarkets limit parking duration to 1.5h
