VE and VJ 80th Anniversary Exhibition
Remembering the end of the Second World War with Hinckley & District Museum and Atkins Gallery.
2025 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945 and Victory over Japan (VJ) Day on 15 August 1945.
Hinckley & District Museum and Atkins Gallery are partnering up to create an exhibition in September to capture local people’s memories and family stories of VE and VJ Day, with a particular focus on VJ day, the sometimes-overlooked aspect of the Second World War.
Atkins Gallery is open Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 . Additional evenings and weekend viewings will be added here and promoted on our social media.@atkinsbuilding
