Our August 2025 event is hosted by Sheffield Humanists and is titled ‘Phone Calls from the Dead: History, controversies, and theories’. Our speaker is Cal Cooper, Professor of Parapsychology and Public Understanding of Human Science at the California Institute for Human Science, and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Northampton. He we will take you on an exploration of alleged Phone Calls from the Dead. Often, they have been associated with the psychology of ‘After-Death Communication’ experiences, where reports occur of deceased individuals allegedly making contact. However, unusual reports of telephone calls from living individuals and perceived ‘extra-terrestrials’ have been documented too. Cal will be presenting examples of such cases, the history, controversies, psychological theories and more… ring, ring!
This event is on Monday August 18th at 7.30 pm.
