A care home in Kennett is opening its doors to the local community for a summer fete to remember.
On Saturday 23rd August from 12pm to 5pm, Care UK’s Kentford Manor, on Jeddah Way, is inviting people to celebrate summer in style with a fun-filled afternoon of live entertainment, games and delicious food.
Guests can look forward to a lively afternoon of music, featuring performances across a variety of genres including jazz, pop, opera, and more. Highlights include vocalist Charlie Frances Wilson with a diverse repertoire spanning wartime classics, 50s and 60s hits, pop, rock, theatre standards, party favourites, and Postmodern Jukebox-style tunes, alongside cabaret singer David James.
Visitors can enjoy an action packed day with activities including a tombola, raffle, farm animals such as pigs, chickens, and a pony, a bouncy castle, face painting, and balloon modelling.
There will also be a barbecue and a chance to cool off with the famous Kelly’s ice cream.

Kentford Manor provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies. The building has been configured into a number of suites to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
