Kentford Manor Care Home - Care UK, Jeddah Way, Kennett, Kentford, Newmarket CB8 8JY A care home in Kennett is opening its doors to the local community for a summer fete to remember. On Saturday 23rd August from 12pm to 5pm, Care UK’s Kentford Manor, on Jeddah Way, is inviting people to celebrate summer in style with a fun-filled afternoon of live entertainment, games and delicious food. Guests can look forward to a lively afternoon of music, featuring performances across a variety of genres including jazz, pop, opera, and more. Highlights include vocalist Charlie Frances Wilson with a diverse repertoire spanning wartime classics, 50s and 60s hits, pop, rock, theatre standards, party favourites, and Postmodern Jukebox-style tunes, alongside cabaret singer David James. Visitors can enjoy an action packed day with activities including a tombola, raffle, farm animals such as pigs, chickens, and a pony, a bouncy castle, face painting, and balloon modelling. There will also be a barbecue and a chance to cool off with the famous Kelly’s ice cream. Kat Rayment, General Manager at Kentford Manor, said: “We’re so excited to be welcoming locals to join us for our summer party! Community connections mean a lot to us here at Kentford Manor, and what better way to bring everyone together than with a celebration? “The residents have been sharing stories about their favourite summer holidays. There’s a real buzz in the air and everyone’s feeling the summer spirit. “We’re really looking forward to what promises to be a fun-filled day for all – fingers crossed the sun joins us too!” Kentford Manor provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care.
