Garages of Lichfield
Join Lichfield historian and author Jono Oates for the next of his talks on the history of Lichfield, this time the Garages of Lichfield.
Looking back over the last hundred years, telling the story of some of the original garages of Lichfield, as the number of motor cars on the roads rapidly increased: Hiskins, Central Garage, GH Jones and Hollinshead garages are all featured in this illustrated talk.
As well as the garages the talk features fascinating vintage photographs of Lichfield streets, and city centre, showing how the city has changed over the last hundred years, as well as showing how some aspects of it remain unaltered.
The talk last for an hour and half and includes the opportunity to ask questions at the end.
