Gallery members Billy Adams and Ray Burnell have joined forces to create a joint exhibition in the Chate Room at King Street Gallery.
Ceramicist Billy's work is influenced by landscape settings, especially the wild, rugged beauty of Connemara and Donegal, and the dramatic West Wales coastline. He incorporates geological elements, natural colours, as well as the marks of human activity on the landscape into his vessels. He is interested in addressing the relationship we have with the landscape.
Landscape painter Ray Burnell's work is concerned with the links beteen landscape, language and history. He is interested in creating oil paintings with atmosphere and depthth to catch fleeting moments when a gleam of sun shines through the mist, or a crack of light breaks through the clouds onto rocks and water.
