Trio Paradis Café Concert: The Music of Trees

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on the first Friday lunchtime of each month (Feb-Dec) at 12.30pm at St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton: informal music events in the community, with a pop-up café from midday where you can meet friends for a chat before the concert.

September’s programme is inspired by trees and forests, with music by Dvorak (Silent Woods), Sibelius (Birch and Spruce), Massenet (Lime Trees), and the beautiful folk-song idyll ‘The Banks of Green Willow’ by George Butterworth.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance (or rather, exit!) is by donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments - tea, coffee & Rosemary's delicious home-made cakes - are on sale half an hour before the concert. There's no need to book, though an RVSP via our website is appreciated…turn up early for best choice of seat, and maybe bring a cushion for the pew.
