Heritage Open Day: A chance to look around the amazing Corpus Christi College Barge and discover the history of Oxford’s floating architecture. An opportunity to visit a special part of Oxford’s floating history. The college barges, unique to Oxford, preexisted the current boathouses and were used for spectating and celebrating the rowing as well as for changing rooms and club houses.
The Corpus Christi college barge is a unique example of Edwardian architecture, and one of the only surviving examples of its ilk.
