Handbells at Shelley's Emmanuel Church

Heritage Open Day: Short talk and mini concert from a local handbell group. The area around Huddersfield has a proud heritage of handbell ringing, with many of the top teams in the late 19th and early 20th century coming from the area. One of these teams was based in Shelley, and El's Bells (a new local team who meet just down the road in Skelmanthorpe) are proud to bring the art home for Heritage week. Come and hear us play, and learn more about this way of making music.
