Grave Designs at Grantham's Hidden Burial Ground
Heritage Open Day: Grantham's overflow burial ground was used between 1812-1857. This is an evocative space & wildlife haven. Engage with the stories of former residents through their artistic headstones. Family historians will be on hand to help with queries. Over a hundred headstones survive and most were carved by skilled engravers using Swithland or Welsh slate.
