Brightholmlee Chapel, Wharncliffe Side
Heritage Open Day: Visit this historic chapel dating from 1807 and learn about its fascinating history and that of the ancient village of Wharncliffe Side and surrounding hamlets. Brightholmlee Methodist Chapel was founded in 1807 and has been open and in continuous use for Christian Worship from the day it opened. It was established by Thomas Holy, a silversmith and button-maker, and a friend of John Wesley.
