St Margaret's Church, High Halstow

Heritage Open Day: Everyone is welcome to view our ancient church. High Halstow is Saxon and means Holy Place. Our church may have been built on an earlier Pagan site. Our Earliest Church record is a purchase of sacramental Oils in 1080-6. The building is Ragstone and on first sight it appears entirely as perpendicular church. There is a clerestoried Nave with South porch and lean to in south aisle, continued as a chapel to the East. A beautiful church in a gorgeous rural village setting. Not to be missed.
