Horncastle's Horrible History

Heritage Open Day: Join local historian Nick Fox as he takes you on a tour of some of the town's rich architecture. Hear about some of Horncastle's most notorious people and what made them so infamous, and see some of the best buildings this market town offers! Horncastle has always been a key centre for the southern Wolds, and its history is rich and diverse. Its architecture, too, is very wide ranging, from mud and stud buildings through Spilsby sandstone to Victorian Gothic. Come with us on a tour of the town and hear what makes it special.

The walk lasts for between 90 and 120 minutes around mostly level ground with pavements and gravel paths. Generally wheelchair accessible. The distance is about two miles. Level of activity - mild to moderate.
