Power in the Potteries: Energy Exhibition

Heritage Open Day: An exhibition illustrating how in the past 100 years the area has moved away from almost total dependance on coal to cleaner energy sources and a cleaner environment. To celebrate the City of Stoke-on-Trent's Centenary, Etruria Industrial Museum is hosting this exhibition and other events to highlight the City's transition from dirty to cleaner energy and from industrial grime to clean air and reclaimed landscapes. In 1925 coal was the main source of primary energy. A combination of displays and talks will show the progress that has been made in the last 100 years.
The main exhibition will be open on Wednesday and Thursday (17th & 18th Sep) and continue throughout the weekend (20th & 21st Sep) when the museum opens its doors for free for Heritage Open Days.
