94 High Street Vault with Live Music
Heritage Open Day: An inclusive celebration of music of all genres amidst the vibrant cultural heritage of Southampton. Culminating in an annual multi-venue music festival on 13/14th September. We exist for the musicians and the people of Southampton. Accessed via a metal spiral staircase from the High St, 94 High Street Vault was built around 1350. A vault with a rather unique structure - housing a fireplace, unusual for a wine vault where you would normally wish to keep it cool, perhaps a charcoal brazier stood here to keep important customers warm who came to taste the wine in wintertime.
