Heritage Open Day: St Anne’s is a beautiful medieval chapel, and a place of Orthodox Christian worship since 1980. The church is not normally open except for services, so this is a rare opportunity for visitors to view it from the inside. St Anne's Chapel was built in 1481; the adjoining alms-houses were added in 1561 and partially rebuilt in 1907. Today, St Anne's is home to the Orthodox Parish of the Holy Prophet Elias. Its interior, which is normally not accessible except for services, is covered with icons.
