Explore Boston's Historic Victorian Cemetery

Heritage Open Day: Explore this superb example of a cemetery still having many features from its opening in1855. A home to many birds and animals and the site of some historic graves. Open 1000 until 1600 Sunday 14th September 2025 . The cemetery is designated by English Heritage as an Historic Park and Garden and from 2007 became a Local Wildlife Site. The remaining cemetery chapel dates back to the cemetery's opening in 1855 but needs very serious restoration. The identical non-conformist building was demolished in 1961. On the Heritage Open Day, there are gravestone / history tours at 1030hrs and 1330hrs. In the Crematorium chapel there is an exhibition, displays, refreshments, book and plant stalls.
