Heritage Open Day: Visit the Long Shop - where one of the world's earliest examples of a production line helped to transform the East Coast of Suffolk into a global manufacturing centre. The Long Shop Museum tells the stories of the agricultural and industrial revolutions, of Victorian engineering excellence, and of the people that made it all possible. The Long Shop itself is Suffolk's 'Cathedral of Engineering', a Grade II* listed building that is internationally significant both historically and architecturally.
