530 years of Loughborough Grammar School - Tower Opening and Exhibitions

Heritage Open Day: The 1852 Building will be open including the tower, which is accessed by 59 steps up a spiral staircase, giving a great view of Loughborough and surrounding districts. Items from the School's archives will be available to view in adjacent rooms As part of Loughborough's Heritage Open Weekend on the theme of architecture come and view the 36 A2 Sheets of the 1850 contract to build the present School building. Also learn about one of the school’s most famous alumni, World War II fighter pilot Johnnie Johnson and there will also be information on display about the school during WWI and WWII.
