Heritage Open Day: Explore the many beautiful Stained Glass Windows at St Luke's Church Heywood. The Archives, which are not usually on show, will also be available to view A splendid Victorian Gothic church (listed Grade II*, 1862) with majestic proportions. Impressive stained glass, reredos, pulpit and war memorial. Deemed to be a showcase of Victorian art, featuring sculpted stone work, encaustic tiling and wrought iron. There will be people to guide visitors around the church.
