Discover Horninghold's Heritage

Heritage Open Day: Discover Horninghold's past both at the church and around the village. The event will explore local archaeology, architecture and building materials. There will be an exhibition of medieval carvings and gargoyles in the church. There will be a village-wide search for the medieval village via archaeology test pits supervised by the Hallaton Fieldwork Group. There will be a launch of a new village trail and information on Collyweston slating, which is used locally and mined near Stamford. The event will be followed at 4pm by the Harvest Festival.
