A practical talk and session on butterfly and moth wing scales which are beautiful subjects for mounting on microscope slides. We will have a short introduction then we will briefly look at the anatomy of butterflies and moths under the microscope before mounting butterfly and moth wing scales. A perfect opportunity to try a microscope in the company of fellow enthusiasts. No microscope, don't worry, use ours at the meeting. Suitable for accompanied older children.
