Heritage Open Day: A chance to see inside the newly refurbished office of one of Nottinghams premier architects practices - CPMG Architects at 13 St Peter's Gate. This is a grade II listed building. Located just opposite St. Peter’s Church, 13 St Peter's Gate is an excellent example of imaginative re-use of unoccupied city centre space, the new home of CPMG-Architects and, in 2022, a winner of a regional design award from the British Council of Offices.
The building was constructed around 1874 as the offices of a water company and was for a long time a branch of Barclays Bank: they eventually moved on and it became a bar, with the uppermost floor converted to student flats.
