Heritage Open Day: The church will be open on Saturday 13th September 10am - 4pm…
We have toilet facilities; tea/coffee/ cake/ biscuits available..
The church will be ‘manned’ at all times throughout the open day. There will be photographic evidence of the history of Christ Church from its completion in 1838 when the surrounding area was very different to today.. then standing alone on a hill surrounded by wide open spaces…. The church having been subjected to a number of internal architectural alterations in its 187yr history is now in the heart of a residential area. It’s raised location makes it easier to spot from a distance, almost hidden from view as you get closer
A great opportunity to view the amazing architecture outside & inside, including the stained-glass windows, font & other interesting aspects ... there will also be some printed information available & an I-Spy leaflet for the young at heart.
