Donation of a Legacy: Pottery Production to Community Connection

Heritage Open Day: Take a step back in time and walk the history of the Dudson legacy, from pottery production to people. Discover centre's rich history and let's go on a journey together through its transformation from disused factory into thriving community. The bottle kiln is an icon across the Stoke-on-Trent skyline, and there are not many original bottle ovens left to see. But, in the heart of Hanley, nestled inside a picturesque courtyard stands the original Dudson kiln, housing the exquisite Dudson Collection.

Following the Dudson factory's relocation, in 1994 the site was kindly donated to the voluntary sector in Stoke-on-Trent and is now a thriving community resource centre home to many local charities and voluntary organisations, a historic site, and cafe for all to enjoy.
