Scarecrow Weddings
Heritage Open Day: Did you know that Scarecrows get married in church, you didn't, well come along to St Albans Church, Offerton, Stockport to see for yourself. Weddings are wonderful family events for all of us, and are extra special when held in a Church. Scarecrows want to get married in church too - so why not alongside their human counterparts. Local schools, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and parishioners will be making the scarecrows.
Come and see them in their wedding finery. We also have a photo display of some of the people who have been married at St Albans over the years. Speak to our Vicar about having your wedding in church.
