Visit website The entrance to Haslam Park from Blackpool Rd takes you through wrought iron gates onto an avenue of Lime trees. The avenue has a drinking fountain and at the far end gated stone steps. These are some of the original features designed by the architect Thomas Mawson for the park's construction in 1910. Also part of Mawson's design are the lake and the pavilions, here you can view the photographic display and enjoy cake, a cuppa and a chat.
