Heritage Open Day: Climb the church tower to the external viewing gallery. On the climb you will pass the Victorian clock mechanism and the bells that mark the quarter hours plus the hour chimes. A curfew bell ringer will be in attendance to assist with information. St Peter's is the only church in the UK that rings a curfew bell by hand. Thirty one volunteers take a day each every month. The Tower climb has a tight spiral stair to the first floor where a modern stair leads to the viewing gallery. There are 2 levels where visitors can rest if needed. You can see France on a good day.
The church is open most days as a charity shop with lots to see, also has a coffee shop with tables inside and outside in lovely grounds. There church has a lot of history too.
