Heritage Open Day: Discover the four men who designed the buildings that marked Trentham out as a thriving estate village in the 1800s. Come and see what remains of their work and what has been lost. St Mary and All Saints Church is a vibrant parish church with a continuous heritage dating back to the 7th century. Situated on the Two Saints Way between Lichfield and Chester, the church was rebuilt in 1844 to a design by Charles Barry. The Grade II* listed building contains fine Minton tiles and memorials to the Sutherlands of Trentham Hall.
In the church vestry the Trentham Heritage Project will invite visitors to take an architectural tour of Trentham and surrounding area to find out more about the architects and the buildings they designed at the behest of the Dukes of Sutherland.
