Heritage Open Day: Join us for a series of guided walks, taking place to celebrate Middleton’s heritage trails. Join us for this guided walk which will take you around both Middleton’s golden cluster of architecture and history, as well as its mills and town centre. Discover Middleton’s oldest church as well as architectural gems, designed by eminent Middleton architect Edgar Wood, among others. Find out more about the town’s links to the Jacobite rebellion and the Peterloo Massacre.
This walk will also take you past Middleton’s mills, and you will discover more about what it would have been like to live and work in Middleton during the industrial revolution.
